Make A Difference Day 2017: Site Leader Registration
Thank you for your interest in serving as a site leader for Make A Difference Day on Saturday, October 21st, 2017! Site leaders play an integral leadership role among their peers and serve as a key communicator between GVSU and the nonprofit partner.
We have a new process this year to be more intentional on who is selected to be a Site Leader (SL) and the site they serve. Those who seek to be a SL will have an in-person interview and indicate their preferred sites.
**Applicants will be notified on Monday, September 11, 2017 of available interview times for the week of Sept. 18.
Accepted Site leaders must attend one site leader training either on Monday, October 16, 2017 or Tuesday, October 17, 2017 at 6:00 p.m. - 7:30 p.m. in Kirkhof Center Room 1142.
Day of Event Responsibilities
Site leaders are required to arrive at 8:15 am in the Kirkhof Center located on the Allendale Campus (please provide your own transportation to campus). All participants will depart from the Allendale campus to the nonprofit organization that they will serve at (transportation to and from your nonprofit organization will be provided). Lunch will be provided by GVSU. Upon the conclusion of the service project, a group reflection experience will be led by, you, the site leader and then the group will depart at 3pm to head back to the Allendale campus (arrival time back to campus will vary, most will return by 3:45pm).
* If you register as a site leader you do not need to register as a participant.
