MLK Jr. Day of Service & Solidarity
GVSU Students: Registration is CLOSED! View a list of available service sites here! We welcome walk-ins.
The MLK Jr. Day of Service and Solidarity is part of a national day of service where campuses across America gather together to serve and stand in solidarity with their communities in honor of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. This event is coordinated by the Community Service Learning Center in collaboration with the MLK Week Executive Planning Committee. The goal of the event is to educate participants and inspire them to engage in their communities by listening, learning, and advocating for social change on campus and beyond.
This year GVSU faculty, staff, and students will come together for MLK Jr. Day of Service and Solidarity on Saturday, January 20th, 9am-4pm starting with an inspiring keynote presentation followed by a service project with local community partners.
