Make A Difference Day
Thank you for your interest in participating in GVSU’s Make a Difference Day 2016 on Saturday, October 22nd, 2016. This is a national day of service and GVSU’s Community Service Learning Center is proud to provide this as a service opportunity for the GVSU community for over 15 years! We look forward to having you participate as a part of the 350+ GVSU students that will serve local nonprofit agencies all over the greater Grand Rapids/Allendale area!
The day will begin with check in at 9:00 a.m. in Grand River Room (NOTE: site leaders are required to arrive at 8:15am), in the Kirkhof Center located on the Allendale Campus (please provide your own transportation to campus). Upon checking in, being place into your service group and opening remarks, all participants will depart from the Allendale campus to the nonprofit organization that they will serve at (transportation to and from your nonprofit organization will be provided). Lunch will be provided by GVSU and brought to your nonprofit organization. Upon the conclusion of your service project, a group reflection experience will be led by the site leader working with your service group and you will depart at 3pm to head back to the Allendale campus (arrival time back to campus will vary, most will return by 3:45pm).
**If you register as a Site Leader, you do not need to register as a participant. Click here if you would like to register as a Site Leader.
