Come join 500+ new friends at Service DAWGS Day!

Service DAWGS Day is an annual day of service that engages over 500 volunteers in community service activities within the local community. On Service DAWGS Day, students and volunteers arrive at a central campus location for a brief orientation and light breakfast before being transported to one of over 35 community partner locations to perform three hours of community service. At around lunch time, students are transported back to campus for lunch and other activities. 

Breakfast, lunch, transportation, and a t-shirt are provided to volunteers free of charge! Register now!

Community organizations that benefit from volunteer work performed on Service DAWGS Day include Aiken Village Preschool, American Red Cross, Starkville Boys and Girls Club, Camp Seminole, Clay County Day Care Center, Columbus East Lions Club, Emerson Family Resource Center, Emerson Fresh Start Program, Emerson Preschool, Gaining Ground, George Evans Park/Gillespie Center, Girl Scouts of the Golden Triangle, Starkville Area Habitat for Humanity, J.L. King Park, James W. Hunt Community Home, Oktibbeha County Heritage Museum, Oktibbeha County Humane Society, OSERVS, Palmer Children's Home, Palmer Home Thrift Store Columbus, Palmer Home Thrift Store Starkville, Sally Kate Winters, Starkville Cemetery Association, Starkville Community Garden, Starkville Community Market, Starkville Manor, Starkville Public Library, Sudduth Elementary, MSU T.K. We are excited to have you at MSU’s Annual Service DAWGS Day on Monday morning, Aug 14!

Check-in will open at 7:50 AM next to the patio of the Barnes & Noble bookstore (beside the Bost Extension Center). If you are an MSU student/faculty/staff member, please bring your MSU ID because we will be swiping you in for the day and assigning you volunteer credit. If you do not have an MSU ID, that is ok, just bring some form of picture ID. Once you swipe in you will receive your volunteer service site assignment, bus information, and breakfast!
