The mission of the Study Abroad Club is to provide opportunities for students who have studied abroad to share their abroad experiences with each other as well as with students who are considering study abroad in order to increase participation on study abroad programs.

The Study Abroad Club hosts at least two events per semester.
1. The club's Social Event is a meet-and-mingle for students who have returned from study abroad and students are thinking about going abroad.
2. The club's Re-entry Event is a symposium on getting acclimated to being back in the United States. Useful topics such as reverse culture shock, how to communicate your study abroad experience in job applications, and staying globally engaged will be discussed.

Selection Process

If your organization has selective membership, please describe the selection process.

Membership is open to any UAB student who has studied abroad on a program approved by the UAB Office of Education Abroad, or UAB students who are considering doing so.
