A conversation with Mahmoud Abdul-Rauf followed by a Q&A session. For those who don't know, Mahmoud, formerly known as Chris Jackson, played in the NBA from 1990-2001. For most of his career, he played for the Denver Nuggets. While he was in the NBA, Chris Jackson converted to Islam and changed his name to Mahmoud Abdul-Rauf.  Mahmoud is well-known for being suspended by the NBA for refusing to participate in National Anthem pre-grame ceremonies.

Non-Muslim and Muslim women will have the opportunity to engage in a challenge to combat Islamaphobia by wearing the Muslim headscarf. The challenge is to wear it for the entire day to feel the experience and walk in the shoes of a Hijabi for a day. After the Challenge we invite the participants to a dinner where we will share our experience and discuss how it felt to walk in the shoes of a hijabi for a day.
