Hello, and Salaam Everyone!

The Pakistani Students Association at New York University, in collaboration with the American Pakistan Foundation, would like to present to you: K2 and the Invisible Footmen!

K2 AND THE INVISIBLE FOOTMEN, the new film from filmmaker & activist Iara Lee, will be making its NYC premiere April 6th at NYU! In this film, Iara Lee and her team chronicle the lives of the indigenous porters of Gilgit/Baltistan in Pakistan. These heroes of mountaineering make possible the ascent of K2, the second highest mountain in the world. Amid breathtaking scenery, the film depicts the courage and everyday sacrifices of these unacknowledged porters. It also provides a fresh look into Pakistan, a country typically portrayed in the foreign media as being merely a land of conflict and sectarian strife.

Join director Iara Lee as she introduces the film to NYC audiences, and after the screening as she conducts a Q&A along with the record-holding mountaineer Vanessa O'Brien! This event is free and open to the public, but please RSVP at

Please invite your friends, and join us for a night to remember!
