California Football Club or CFC is a competitive soccer club for both women and men established by a small group of students passionate about playing soccer at California University of Pennsylvania. Today the team has more than 50 active members. Such competition include WVU, Pitt, W&J, IUP, Slippery Rock, and other local colleges and universities. Currently there is one men's and one women's team.

Membership is open to all students of California University of Pennsylvania. Students who are on academic probation or disciplinary probation may not serve as active members of this organization. Membership will not be denied because of race, creed, or physical disability. No previous playing experience is needed but is highly recommended. A try-out will take place during the first week of each fall semester to determine the "team" members. Any student can participate in the "club" but because this is a competitive team as well only the top skilled players will be on the team. Team members can change weekly depending on each members performance and attendance at practice.
