Welcome to Cal U Inline Hockey
Welcome to the University recognized and official page for Cal U Inline. We are a club composed of several students and some alumni that play in an organized regional league just west of Pittsburgh. We compete in the WPCIHL in multiple tiers against teams such as Carnegie Melon, CCAC, Clarion, Duquesne, Geneva, Grove City, Indiana, La Roche, Penn State Beaver, Robert Morris, and Slippery Rock.
Our campaign begins early in the fall semester; starting with tryouts, which are the first week of September. Next, the Officers of our club will roster the new personnel and veterans to appropriate team and practices will soon follow. Then, in the first week of October, the first wave of regular season games will begin. After the regular season, in Mid-March, teams will qualify for playoffs. After the completion of post-season play, new Officers are elected and yearly awards are handed out, in which concludes the campaign.
All games are played at the Robert Morris Island Sport Center at Neville Island on Wednesday or Thursday evenings. All practices are held at our home facility, Hot Shots Indoor Sport Complex in Mt. Pleasant on Monday evenings. All other club events are held on campus.
Our club members share close bonds with each other. Many of us are close friends outside of club functions and share other interests or passions. Other clubs/organizations and staff speak very highly of our organization.
Our club has a very rich history in our nine year existence in the league. We are 3X and reigning WPCIHL Champions (2011, 2012, 2016) for top tier level play, hold a league record for an undefeated regular season (2014), and have advanced to Semis or Finals in each of the last five seasons.
