Habitat for Humanity Club
Habitat for Humanity is a non-profit organization based on the principles that every single man, woman, and child should have some form of decent, safe, affordable housing available to them. Habitat does not build "free houses," but rather provides affordable housing and financing to low-income families all over the world.
No experience is required when it comes to volunteering.
The Habitat for Humanity club at Cal U strives to help Habitat for Humanity fulfill it's mission statement by working through a local affiliates/ We attend a build at least one Saturday per month in each semester. In addition to this we also meet on a biweekly basis where we discuss various topics including fundraising and planning for our largest event of the year, Cardboard City. Cardboard City is a campus-wide fundraising event in which clubs and organizations simulate homelessness and raise awareness by constructing and "living" in cardboard homes.
We also sponsor an end of the year trip for one week to a different affiliate in another state where we spend time exploring the area and also helping them out with their houses.
The Habitat for Humanity club is sponsored by Studypool, a leader in online homework help! Thanks to them for making great things possible at Tea Club. We really appreciate their support and you should check them out at https://www.studypool.com.
