UMSL Students of Service Advisory Board Application
Thank you for your interest in the UMSL Students of Service (SOS) Advisory Board. The UMSL SOS Advisory Board is responsible for the planning, implementaion and promotion of all major service projects for the Office of Student Life. Members of the Advisory Board will be exposed to a diverse array of leadership opportunities, which includes planning large scale service projects, networking with community leaders and organizational leadership. Moreover, Advisory Board members will be able to make a difference in the community in a positive and meaningful way.
UMSL SOS was established under a grant to engage UMSL students in a range of service opportunities aimed at addressing pressing housing and educational needs in the surrounding communities. UMSL SOS is a collaborative effort between students, student organizations and various campus departments at UM-St. Louis. UMSL SOS is partnering with the Normandy School District, Beyond Housing and community organizations and residents in communities near the UMSL campus. The creation of the advisory board is to sustain this initiative and continue the commitment of UMSL’s service to community, beyond the life of the grant.
Application Process: All applications will be available on April 5, 2016. Please submit your application on TritonSync, one (1) letter of recommendation and all other documents to the front desk in the Office of Student Life, 366 Millennium Student Center. The application deadline is April 15th at 5 P.M. If you are selected, you will be contacted with details about the interview the week after the deadline.
