2013 Make a Difference Day
Make a Difference Day began at the University of Idaho in 2000. This is a huge event in the Moscow Community with up to 500 students participating in a variety of service projects. Make a Difference Day brings together both students and locals to improve the community.
Students may sign up individually to volunteer or may sign up as part of a club, living group or class to be placed together at one volunteer site. There is a place to indicate which group you would like to volunteer with on the registration form. Projects in the past have included assisting at Orphan Acres Horse Rehabilitation, planting trees as part of watershed restoration efforts with PCEI, playing games and carving pumpkins at local senior centers and large scale maintenance projects at local parks and schools.
Make a Difference Day will be held on Saturday, October 26, 2013. All volunteers will be needed from approximately 9:00 AM until 12:00 PM. Check-in will be in the Student Union Building Ballroom at 9:00 AM. T-shirts will be provided for the first 450 volunteers to arrive.
