The Minority Mentorship Program (MMP) began in 1991 to raise the retention rate of the University's underrepresented student populations. Today, we are still working towards that goal. We provide peer-to-peer mentoring and educational/social programming, all to ensure your success and development at the University of Central Arkansas.
We would like to welcome you to our portal! Please feel free to connect with us here, on Instagram (@uca_mmp), Twitter (@ucammp) or Facebook (@Uca Diversity).
The Minority Mentorship Program (MMP) was developed in 1991 to help students maximize their potential while attending UCA.
We offer one level of mentoring:
Level I-Freshmen are paired with an upper-class peer mentor.
Level I mentoring is designed to aid in the retention and graduation of the University's minority student population.
The Mentorship Program is housed under the Office of Diversity and Community, which assists with monthly programming and events scheduled throughout the year to support both academic and social growth.
One of our biggest events is Transitions Week which occurs the second week of the fall semester each academic year. Transitions Week consists of multiple events and programs to acclimate and connect freshmen students to the collegiate experience.
State membership qualifications if any are required below.
Level I- Mentees- incoming freshmen students
Level II- Mentors - sophomore, junior and senior students
