Student Organization for Human Rights
The Student Organization for Human Rights (S.O.H.R.) at UM Law is a non-partisan organization dedicated to the advancement of international human rights law and advocacy. We are one of the many organizations on the University of Miami Law School’s campus that provides opportunities for students to explore and engage in human rights work. We seek to raise awareness and promote the inherent rights of every human being throughout the world. S.O.H.R. is also dedicated to increasing the educational opportunities available to UM Law students. Our members have the chance to work closely with University of Miami Law clinics, specifically the Human Rights Clinic. Our other activities include speaker and panel events, assisting organizations and clinics with research, participating in advocacy programs, and encouraging, supporting and guiding student-led projects. We also collaborate with other student organizations in the Miami community to promote human rights. For more information, contact UMiamiHumanRights@gmail.com.
