Service Saturday Benefiting Sally Kate Winters
Volunteer Starkville is looking for volunteers for our very first Service Saturday featuring and benefiting Sally Kate Winters Family Services. Volunteers will begin the morning at 10:00 AM in the 3rd floor conference room of the Greater Starkville Development Partnership in downtown Starkville eating breakfast and learning about the mission, vision and programs of Sally Kate Winters.
Once the presentation is over, volunteers will be divided into small groups of 2-4 and be assigned to a certain area in the community to hang up posters to help advertise Sally Kate Winter's upcoming 5th Annual Spring Into Action 5K and 1 Mile Family Fun Run. Each group will be provided with a poster hanging supply kit made up of tape and push pins.
This is a great way to meet new people, get a free breakfast, learn about a local nonprofit, and give back through service!
Most volunteers will need to have a driver's license and a method of transportation unless you are volunteering with someone with these qualifications (e.i. parent, guardian, friend, etc).
Volunteers need to be prepared to volunteer for about 2 hours total.
