Description

The Business Information Technology Club is the premier RSO for students involved in business and information technology-related majors/fields of study. We seek to facilitate growth and learning as students and professionals by networking with experts in various fields related to business, entrepreneurship, and information management. The BIT Club encourages diversity by welcoming students of ALL MAJORS to participate in its activities both on and off-campus.

The BIT Club meetings typically take place during x-periods at 1:40 - 2:30 p.m in the COB Auditorium.

Depending on the course and professor, students could potentially earn bonus points for attending the BIT Club meetings each semester. However, students must sign in at each meeting and be present in order to receive those bonus points and be eligible to participate in the post-meeting drawing.

During both the fall and spring semesters, the BIT Club hosts meetings that focus on presentations given by special guest speakers from a broad number of industries and corporations. Many speakers that present at the BIT Club meetings include members of corporations such as Acxiom, Verizon, Walmart, Dillard's, Hewlett Packard (HP), ArcBest, Windstream, JB Hunt, ABF, and many others. This is a good opportunity to network with professionals at these companies and receive information on internships or part-time jobs.

If students arrive at the BIT Club meetings early enough, there is a chance to enter into the BIT Club's famous post-meeting giveaway drawing for free flash drives, Bear Swag, and even an iPod Shuffle!
