Adult Day Services Volunteers
Age is irrelevant, compassion is timeless.
Adult Day Services volunteers help Neighborhood House provide compassionate care & supervision to aging and disabled adults with games, music, arts & crafts, outings, and meals. Volunteers work one-on-one with our clients assisting with activities, sharing stories, and reducing isolation. These vital volunteers help Neighborhood House clients prolong placement in costly long-term care facilities, allowing them to stay with their families longer. Ideal volunteers should have patience, calm demeanor and excellent listening skills. Excellent opportunity for students interested in health care, aging populations, disabled populations, social work, art or music.
Scheduling is highly flexible with availability Monday - Friday 7:30 a.m. - 5:30 p.m.
