NYU For Nepal
Apr 28, 2015 by Adam S Wong
Please join us in paying our respects for those who have lost their lives in the disastrous earthquake that hit central Nepal on Saturday, April 25, 2015.
The magnitude-7.9 earthquake, followed by continuous aftershocks has devastated the peaceful country of Nepal and its surrounding areas of India, Bangladesh and Tibet. Upwards of 4,000 people have been found dead and even more have lost their homes. Thousands of years of history and culture, including many Unesco World Heritage Sites, have been completely destroyed.
This country is in dire need of aid, and any contribution made will go towards providing immediate medical care and long-term disaster relief.
All donations from this fundraiser and vigil will go to Global Giving, which focuses on this immediate relief and transition to long-term recovery. http://www.globalgiving.org/projects/nepal-earthquake-relief-fund/
We hope you can join us in supporting the Nepali people in their time of need. If you know of any other reputable non-profit organizations aiding this cause, please feel free to link their websites below.
