Welcome back, Cougs!

Backyard Harvest is a nonprofit organization based in Moscow, Idaho that connect low income families, seniors, and individuals with fresh, local produce. Backyard Harvest relies on volunteers who share their backyard bounty and extra fruit to help make sure that everyone in our community has healthy food to eat.

Event: Students will assist with garden maintenance at Koppel Gardens, including, but not limited to, harvesting, weeding, and cleaning up plots. Any food harvested will be donated to local food pantries.

Location: Please meet at the CCE office (CUB L45) at 1:45 PM to meet with your group.  We plan on returning to campus by 4:30PM

Requirements: Students should wear close-toed shoes and weather appropriate, comfortable clothing that they wouldn't mind getting dirty. Sunscreen, water bottle, and hats are highly recommended.

Service hours are allocated based on amount of direct service participation and do not include meeting time and transportation to/from the service site. Students can expect to receive 2 hours for service.
