Civic Action Plan Survey

In March, 2016 President Huftalin signed the Campus Compact 30th Anniversary Action Statement of Presidents and Chancellors. As a result, our team began working on SLCC's Campus Compact Civic Action Plan, which focuses on five strategic elements:

  • Structure the curriculum so that High-Impact Practices (HIPs) are encouraged.

  • Rewrite the SLCC student learning outcome (SLO) focused on civic and community engagement to make it more assessable.

  • Make civic learning routine across the disciplines

  • Exploring the impact of SLCC’s Community Engagement efforts on communities.

  • Increase the culture of community engagement at SLCC.

We are interested in learning how SLCC can support this work at institutional, departmental, and indivual levels seeking your input on the design and implementation of these items
