Math Assistance, First Grade | Spring 2019
Organizational Description: Preparing Students for Their World. The student body is 415 strong with over 20 countries represented, 18 different languages are spoken and 30% of the students are part of a national culture or ethnic minority.
Opportunity Description: Classroom assistance is needed for Ms. Sontgerath's first grade classroom during math time. This is an opportunity to work with individual or small groups of students to build math skills and knowledge.This is not a one-time opportunity -- you must commit to at least 5 days of service.
Ages of Children/Youth: First Grade, ages 6-7
Days/Times: 1:00-1:45pm, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays throughout the semester.

- Background Check: You must complete a Pullman School District Background Check and return it to the the front desk at Franklin Elementary School or the Pullman School District office. You will be notified via email upon the approval of the background check.
- Orientation: None
- Other: Please dress appropriately for working with children in a classroom setting.
Students are responsible for bringing their own Record of Civic Engagement Form to each opportunity they attend. Students can always pick up a form in our office (CUB LL48). You can also add hours online here. Fill out the form completely and to the best of your ability. Please make sure to mark Franklin Elementary School in the Service Partner drop down if you enter hour service hours online.
Transportation: Transportation for this opportunity is not provided and will be the responsibility of the student.
