Senior Chores with Alumni | Civic Engagement Week 2017 (CCE Transportation Provided)
Organizational Information: The Pullman Community Council on Aging is a group of caring citizens and professionals who advocate for Pullman's senior citizens.
Opportunity Description: The student volunteers will go to multiple homes of senior citizens in the Pullman community to assist with outdoor spring cleaning, raking, gardening, planting flowers, etc. WSU Alumni will be joining the students on this project as well in celebration of Civic Engagement Week.
Days/Times:Transportation will be provided. Please meet in the CCE Student Resource Center located in the CUB Lower Level L45 at 4:30 PM to meet with your group. We plan to return to campus around 7:30 PM.
Requirements: Service hours are allocated based on amount of direct service participation and do not include meeting time and transportation to/from the service site. Students can expect to receive 2 hours of service. For your own protection please dress so that you cover all private body parts (no abdomen, rear ends or cleavage showing please).
