World Kindness Day Fair

The Happiness Collective will put on a Kindness-themed fair for World Kindness Day on Friday Nov 18 from 11:30-4:30 in White Plaza. Our booths will include a gratitude letter writing station, loving kindness meditation, a giant finger paint mural themed around kindness, free hugs, a "talk to me about anything couch", and a bubble blowing station.

Happiness Challenge Kickoff

The Happiness Collective will host a kickoff event in White Plaza with food and a capella/ dance performances to start the Happiness Challenge, an 8-week challenge to help students improve their wellbeing.

Happiness Carnival

The Happiness Collective will host a Happiness Carnival to celebrate the end of the Happiness Challenge. There will be booths themed around each of the wellness habits, games, and music. We will host the event in Wilbur Field.

Project Happiness Film Screening

Tuesday, Jan 26, 8 pm

The Happiness Collective will hold a screening of Project Happiness. The 62-minute documentary will follow students across three continents as they search for the meaning of "lasting happiness." After the viewing, Randy Taran, the film's producer and founder/CEO of the Project Happiness organization, will hold a Q&A session.

Therapy Animals Meet and Greet

Sunday, Dec 6, 2 pm

The Happiness Collective will host a Therapy Animals Meet and Greet on the Sunday before finals to help students find calm in their time of high stress. The organization bringing the animals is Furry Friends, a group we hosted successfully on campus last spring in White Plaza. This time they will need an indoor location, since the weather will be too cold outside for the animals. We are currently working on obtaining the necessary insurance.

World Kindness Day Fair

Friday Nov 13 is World Kindness Day. The Happiness Collective wants to put on a Kindness-themed fair from 11:30-5:30 in White Plaza. A few of the activities we plan to include are a gratitude letter writing station, make-a-stuffed-animal-for-a-struggling-friend station, loving kindness meditation, and a giant finger paint mural themed around kindness.
