Winter is Coming: Clubs Showcase, Survival Seminars, and more!
Nov 26, 2014 by Marcus Plottel
Hope you're all ready for another blast of winter - it's just around the corner, and so is the new year. But never fear! We have all kinds of fun events to keep you warm, toasty, and excited for the year to come!
The sign-up for Clubs Week is now open! Tables may be reserved on a first-come, first-served, randomly assigned basis.
The event will be January 13-15 in MacEwan Concert Hall.
All the information you could ever want on Clubs Showcase, including how to sign up for a spot, can be found here: http://suclubs.orgsync.com/clubsshowcase
On January 16, join VP Student Life Jonah Ardiel in the Den for some snacks and information on what's up with SU Clubs! Hear about his awesome plans for the future of Clubs, then get a chance to mingle with other Club Presidents, ask questions and share tips and tricks.
We encourage you to send at least one representative from every club. This event used to be mandatory; now it's just an excellent chance to have your voices heard and support one another - and enjoy some free snacks!
Details can be found by clicking here.
It is mandatory that each club attends at least one Survival Seminar. They will be held January 21-22 and you must send 2 representatives. If you've already attended a seminar in the fall, your club is good to go until next year - that is, unless you want the most up-to-date information or if you have new execs that need info on how SU Clubs work!
Details on times and locations will be available later this month.
Everyone has hopefully seen the ClubsNews newsletter that we're testing out. If you didn't receive this email, make sure your club's contact email on OrgSync is correct - this is how we get in touch with you about everything! If this format works, we'll start a schedule for newsletters in January.
The [Beta] newsletter has all kinds of important info and dates, and can be found here.
