Bateman Multimedia Project Information

On Wednesday, February 17th from 3:00pm-5:00pm we will be filming veterans talking about their stories in the Allen Hall Studio which is Allen 110/120. This room is located on the first floor of Allen near the Equipment Checkout Desk in the back of the building. It should take about 10-15 minutes of your time.

Our intent with this video is to tell the many different stories of student veterans at UO in order to both raise awareness of your presence on campus, as well as to make connections with veteran and non veteran students. This will be a video montage made up of short clips of student veterans talking about their identities—both as veterans & as students. Each veteran will share a very short snippet of information about themselves, whether that includes details about your time in the military or just who you are as a person is up to you.

If you'd like to be a part of this project, we will ask a few basic questions, including your age, hometown, and major. Anything else you would like to share is up to you.

Suggestions include:

Career aspirations
Why you chose UO
Branch of military
Where you served
Hobbies/interests
Military or academic achievements
What else do you identify as? (Mother, brother, friend, mentor, etc)
Advantages/challenges of being a student veteran

Feel free to share as much or as little as you’d like. We're open to hearing any feedback/suggestions you have.

Please contact Jasmine Arant at jarant@uoregon.edu or at 503-341-8144 if you are interested or have any questions! We thank you in advance.
