Hi everyone!

CASL and the Grove Garden will be offering an interactive-lecture! This Sunday we will be offering free food and free knowledge about compost!! If you’re interested, come by 1801 moss St at 12pm and join us for some lunch and a conversation about why we compost, how to compost, and the future of compost on campus. 

Lunch is provided for everyone.

Hi Everyone!

Come join the CASL Crew as we help our neighbors, the Garden Grove, rebuild and relocate their compost bins next weekend! This workshop doesn't require any building experience nor prior knowledge of composting, but both are appreciated. If you'd like to learn how to build a 3-step compost system come by and learn! This workshop will be running both Saturday from 11am - 2pm AND Sunday from 11am - 2pm.

This workshop will be followed by an educational workshop...

From now on, until the end of the term, the Center for the Advancement of Sustainable Living will be meeting in LA 286. It will have a sign. If you go up the main stairs to the second floor, it will be located directly behind you.

The Center for the Advancement of Sustainable Living will be meeting on Wednesday at 5pm! We will meet in room 286 in Lawrence Hall and hope to discuss future projects for the site. CASL is looking for new members! As a group, we are working to create an inclusive space that fosters collaboration and discussion. Come join us as we brainstorm new ways to live sustainably and develop and implement these ideas in our ever-changing CASL House!

Winter Term Kickoff Meeting!

In an effort to welcome everyone back from the break, CASL will have the first meeting of the term this coming Tuesday! We hope to develop a plan-of-attack for both Winter and Spring term while also meet some new friends who've joined the team. If you're curious about sustainable design, sustainable living, experimental gardening, and much more, stop by our meeting at the top of the main stairs in Lawrence at 5:15pm!

We wish everyone a "happy holiday break!" Fall term has gone by very quickly but we've done a lot to restore the CASL house and put ourselves in a good position for next term. 

Be on the lookout for information about our work parties and weekly meetings as the break comes to an end. During Winter term we will be building new compost bins! We encourage everyone to stop by 1801 Moss St to see the CASL house and Grove garden, also start brainstorming ideas to make the property more...
