Program Opportunities

Point Park University partners with the following programs for its students.  For more information about each program, please visit the Bookmarks section, where you will find more information and a link to the program websites.

  • Regent's America College London

  • American University of Rome

Occasional trips to Europe are arranged by Point Park University faculty, in which students can participate for University credit.  These trips are typically offered as 3-credit courses, usually over the summer.  In the past, destinations have included Rome, Greece, Hungary, England, Scotland, and France.

There are also programs sponsored by other schools and study abroad organizations in which Point Park University students can participate, such as Semester at Sea.  For more information on these types of programs, see the page entitled "Other Programs."

Program Notes

  • Point Park Study Abroad programs are open to students of all majors.

  • There is a maximum of fifteen (15) students per semester accepted into the Study Abroad Program.  Applications received beyond the maximum, if approved, will be placed on a waiting list.

  • Information and form files are uploaded to the Files section of this portal by program and semester of study.  Files for the upcoming semester abroad will first be available after the information meeting each semester.

Financial Information

Students interested in the Study Abroad Program need to know that there will be additional costs incurred pertaining to travel expenses, living expenses, and general out-of-the-country expenses that are associated with study abroad programs.

Financial aid is available to eligible students participating in University-sponsored programs in the form of federal and state grants, federal loans, alternative loans, and personal bank loans.  Institutional aid (Point Park scholarships, grants, etc.) is not available to students studying abroad, except as noted below, will be forfeited for the semester abroad, and students will be responsible for the funds forfeited in their financial aid package.  All institutional aid will be restored to the student's financial aid package upon return to Point Park Unviersity, as long as the student is in good academic standing and meets eligibility requirements for the institutional aid.
