Student Leader of the Month Nomination Form

Student Leader of the Month Nomination Form

Nomination forms may be submitted by students, faculty, or staff members who wish to recognize an outstanding leader for their efforts in a specific month. A Student Leader of the Month should exemplify leadership in a manner that relates to our eleven Core Competencies for Student Leaders. These Core Competencies are: leadership development, assessment and evaluation, event management, meaningful interpersonal relationships, collaboration, social responsibility, effective communication, multicultural competency, intellectual growth, clarified values, and healthy behavior and satisfying lifestyles.

Each month, the selected recipient will be notified and presented with a leadership certificate for their achievements. The Student Leader of the Month will be featured on the Student Leadership & Civic Engagement Office’s social media pages. Additionally, a picture of the student and their accomplishments will be posted for the following month on a bulletin board on the 2nd floor of the Rosenthal Building. At the end of the academic year, all 2013-2014 Student Leader of the Month recipients will be entered in a random drawing. Selected winner will be awarded a gift bag that celebrates their NSU spirit.

To nominate a student, please submit the form below. All completed nominations should be submitted by the last Friday of every month before 4:30PM. Any questions? Email the Graduate Assistant for Leadership Development and Civic Engagement at or call (954) 262-7253.
