Organization Overview


The Milwaukee Equestrian Club is both a club and team and strives to provide the students of UW-Milwaukee with safe and affordable opportunities within the equine community for all members regardless of their equine experience. We also hope to provide various educational activities for the equine enthusiast as well as promote participation and good sportsmanship within all realms of competitive riding.

PURPOSE:

The purpose of our organization is to promote interest in all forms of horsemanship, to provide safety and affordable opportunities within the equine community for all members regardless of their equine experience, to provide various educational activities for the equine enthusiast, to promote participation and good sportsmanship within all realms of competitive riding, and to provide members with volunteer opportunities in the local equine community.

ACTIVITIES:

Summarize organizational events, activities and programs. (40 word maximum)

The club and team participate in many fundraising activities including bake sales, tack sales, putting on open shows and clinics. We also have fun activities such as trail rides, critiques and movie nights/dinners.
The team competes throughout the Midwest in shows sponsored by the IHSA(intercollegiate horse show association).
