Environmental Science Club is Georgia College's community inspired to spread environmental consciousness around campus + our surrounding community, with an emphasis on environmental sciences + environmentalism, via: green consumer advocacy, community clean-ups, recycling volunteerism, advocacy for growth with local farms, sustainability conferences/jobs/internships/classes/conversations, camping trips,
--  + furthermore, involvement with: the GC office of Sustainability, Keep Miledgeville-Baldwin Beautiful [KMBB],  Earth Action Team, The Green Market, + more!


We are dedicated:
-- to educate and provide a haven for students, staff, and faculty of Georgia College, as well as the community of Milledgeville itself

--  to address environmental socio-economic issues

-- to improve environmental practices on campus + in the community
-- to sponsor environmental affairs and events

We are a student-run organization that works towards engaging environmental science + sustainability initiatives at Georgia College and its surrounding community.

We have two main focuses: Environmental Sciences [education] + Environmentalism [action/activism].

Events to look forward to throughout the year include:
• Camping trips
• River + Land clean-ups
• Bike Rides
• Potlucks
• Volunteering at local gardens + farms, including our very own campus garden!
• Regional Conferences
• EarthFest!!! (an Earth Day celebration)
• The Green Market [every Saturday]
