IMPACT 2019 National Conference

2019 Impact National Conference Application

The 2019 Impact National Conference will be held in Charlottesville, Virginia at the University of Virginia from Wednesday, February 20th through Sunday, February 24th. Hotel accommodation and transportation will be completely funded by the Engage Lead Serve Board (ELSB).  A fee of $190 is required of participants for conference registration. It is not required that applicants be members of ELSB, TFF and/or Freshmen LEAD.

Louisville Grows Tree Planting Event - Portland Neighborhood

A light breakfast and lunch will be provided to all volunteers. Louisville Grows will provide gloves and water bottles. Please dress appropriately for the weather. Waterproof outerwear is recommended if rain is forecasted. You'll be digging in dirt and handling mulch, so please wear clothes that you don't mind getting dirty. Closed-toed shoes are required.

UofL Composting - Volunteers Needed

North-end of UofL's Grounds Lot (200 block of E. Bloom St.), one block north of Cardinal Blvd.

UofL began on-site composting of pre-consumer, plant-based food waste from its Belknap campus dining facilities in July 2010. The composting program involves volunteer students, staff and community members. It was designed to be educational and coordinated with the campus Garden Commons project which needs a steady supply of compost.

National Voter Registration Day: Midterms and Munches

The student ambassadors of VoteEverywhere are hosting a tabling event with important information about upcoming elections (#midtermsmatter). The event will feature a life-size simulation of Kentucky’s new voting machine, the opportunity to register to vote, information on how to get involved with VoteEverywhere, and plenty of snacks (chips and queso, insomnia cookies!).

VoteEverywhere is a campus civic involvement program supported by the Engage Lead Serve Board.
