Description

The Association of Students Interested in Asia (A.S.I.A. Club) regularly meets to promote Asian culture by bringing all the fun and festivities of Asia to Furman campus, as well as raise awareness of sociopolitical issues facing countries in Asia. Our activities include Japanese tea ceremonies, cooking workshops, games, excursions to Asian markets, fundraising events, panel discussions on current sociopolitical issues of Asia, movie nights, celebrating popular festivals in Asia, and much more. We welcome everyone regardless of cultural background to come celebrate, learn, and enjoy Asian culture with us!

Selection Process

If your organization has selective membership, please describe the selection process or membership requirements.

A.S.I.A. Club is open to any interested member of the Furman community. Membership standing will be granted to any individual attending at least three regularly scheduled meetings AND have helped plan or participated in an A.S.I.A. Club sponsored event during the academic school year.

Meeting Location

While this question is not required, it helps individuals who are interested in getting involved with your student organization know where you meet. It will be displayed on your portal profile.
