Values Day - Service Projects

This is a day where classes are cancelled in order for the Stetson community to reflect and act on the core values that Stetson is highly devoted to, which include Intellectual Development, Personal Growth and Global Citizenship.

The Center for Community Engagement focuses on helping students become global citizens and learn about the world around them. Our goal on this day is to help students, faculty, and staff step outside of the Stetson community and venture into other areas of Volusia county to learn about the community surrounding them and the issues that our community is facing.

What will it look like?

There will be multiple community projects that will be announced in August that the Stetson community will be able to participate in. Participants will meet in the Stetson Room at 8am for breakfast and a brief orientation to the projects. Everyone will leave to the sites by 8:20 and will be back on campus by 10:30 for the Opening Session of Values Day.

What to wear?

Wear closed toed shoes and clothes you don't mind getting dirty. Please by mindful of the appropriateness of your attire, there may be sites where individuals will be working with youth in the community.
