Martin Luther King Jr. Day Breakfast and March
Join members of the Volusia County community in celebrating the 50th anniversary of our Martin Luther King Jr. Day festivities! For a full list of weekend events, visit volusiamlk.com.
A free community breakfast will be held on Monday, January 15 at 9:00am in honor of Martin Luther King Jr. Day; all members of the Stetson community are invited to attend. Following breakfast, a moving talk will be led by Judge Hubert L. Grimes, President of Bethune Cookman University.
- A ticket is required for entry to the breakfast. Register here to receive tickets for the breakfast.
- Volunteers are needed for set up and preparation at 8am, and will be invited to stay for the length of the breakfast. Register here to volunteer at the breakfast.
Promptly after the breakfast's conclusion, a peace march will begin on the corner of Woodland Boulevard and Pennsylvania Avenue. Participants will march to Earl Brown Park, where a community fair of services and festivities for families will take place. Register to volunteer at the community fair here.
