2014 Southern Sectionals

Furman competed in the Auburn sectional tournament February 21-23. We brought two teams to compete and ended up winning the non-BS gold bracket with our A team! And we won we won the silver bracket consolation with our B team! Everyone played great tennis. A huge congrats to our senior players, Andrew Kantor, Marybeth Snodgrass, and Shelby Rimmler, for their ongoing dedication to the team!

Furman finishes as Gold Bracket runners-up in Volunteer Classic

Furman competed in the 2nd annual Volunteer Classic, hosted by the University of Tennessee in Knoxville, TN, this past weekend of February 15 & 16. Against a field made up of 31 other teams from 18 different schools, Furman made it to the gold bracket finals, losing to UGA-B (20-24).  In round robin play, Furman beat Virginia Tech-B but came up short against UGA-A, the defending national champions. Chattanooga Tournament: Furman competed in the Tennis on Campus Southern Fall Open on Saturday, Nov. 16 held at the Champions Club in Chattanooga, TN. Furman competed against schools such as Georgia State University and University of Tennessee B-Team. Virginia Tech Invitationals

Furman competed in the Virginia Tech Invitationals over the weekend of Nov 2 & 3 held on the Virginia Tech campus in Blacksburg, VA. Competing against 15 other teams from 11 different schools, Furman made it to the gold bracket and finished tied for 7th place overall. Georgia Championship Tournament

Furman competed in the Georgia Championships over the weekend of Oct. 26 & 27 held at the Atlanta Athletic Club in Johns Creek, GA. Competing against 21 other teams from 15 different schools, Furman finished at the 6th seed in the silver bracket. USTA Tennis on Campus Fall Invitational

During Oct. 11-13, Furman competed in the USTA Tennis on Campus Fall Invitational located in Hilton Head Island. Schools from all over the country came to meet and compete in this fun 3 day tournament hosted by Palmetto Dunes. Tennessee Championships in Nashville

Furman competed in the Tennessee Open Championships this past Sept. 28 & 29 held at the Centennial Sportsplex in Nashville,TN. Competing against 16 other teams from 10 different schools, Furman won the southeast bracket of the compass draw.
