IEEE BSU: Call for Officer Nominations (2018-19)

Apr 19, 2018 by Daniele Moro

Hello all,

We are currently looking for nominations for IEEE officers for next year.

This is your chance to expand your leadership skills, directly network with professionals, and contribute towards one of Boise State's largest engineering clubs. If you are interested in becoming an officer for next year or would like to nominate someone else for an officer position, please email Dr. Barney at ebarneysmith@boisestate.edu with the following information:

1. What position are you (or your nominee) running for?

2. Why would you (or your nominee) be a good match for that position?

Benefits of being an officer:
1. Be in a student leadership role of an international organization which a significant proportion of engineers and computer scientists are a part of.
2. Network not only with other members, but also with professionals from companies such as Idaho Power, Clearwater, Micron, and more. As an officer, you will be the first person to directly talk with these experienced professionals.
3. Gain leadership skills as you manage and plan vital parts of the club. Can dramatically help improve your resume for internships and jobs. Leadership also makes you a better candidate for scholarships.
4. Have fun and join a small, dedicated group of brilliant individuals as we try to grow a community of students excited about engineering!
