Human Trafficking Panel Discussion

Rallying Efforts Against Contemporary Trafficking (R.E.A.C.T.) has invited a human trafficking survivor, the founder of The Abolition Network, a victim assistance coordinator from the Department of Homeland Security, and the Senior Director of Advocacy for the International Justice Mission to participate in a panel discussion on human trafficking systems. REACT will moderate the event, and will also take questions from the audience.

Taken: Human Trafficking in Hollywood vs. Reality

The film "Taken" helped to bring the issue of human trafficking into the consciousness of mainstream society. While the film has been helpful in raising awareness to the fact that this egregious human rights abuse exists and can occur in any part of the world, it is also a simplified Hollywood depiction of an incredibly complex issue.
