UTC Rowing is a competitive club program open to any full-time UTC student wishing to participate in this awesome Olympic sport (also the first intercollegiate sport). There is no experience required to join the rowing team. In fact, most college rowers learn the sport when they get to college. We are members of the Southeastern Intercollegiate Rowing Association (SIRA) and the American Collegiate Rowing Association (ACRA), and compete at those championship regattas in April and May. In the fall semester we also compete at various venues across the southeast against college teams of club and varsity status in 5km head race style regattas.
Novice practice sessions are Monday - Friday at either 3:00-5:00pm or 4:30-6:30pm (pick one). Varsity practice at 6:00am Mon, Tue, Thur, Fri and at 7:00am most Saturdays. All squads also have one session of land conditioning per week.
Please contact Head Coach Ryan Worth (Ryan-Worth@utc.edu) with any and all inquiries about the UTC Rowing Team. We look forward to seeing you on the river!
