ARC of Hope Spectrum Conference 2013
Troy Community Center, Troy, MI
ARC of Hope’s 2013 Spectrum Conference is for families who have children struggling with autism spectrum disorder, ADD/ADHD, PANDAS, (Pediatric Autoimmune Neuropsychiatric Disorders Associated with Streptococcus), RAD (Reactive Attachment Disorder) anxiety or depression, learning disabilities and more. Spectrum is different from other conferences because the focus is not on a single developmental diagnosis or a single treatment or therapy. Instead, ARC of Hope will present speakers who will provide parents with information that will help their child improve their ability to care for themselves, learn, and better integrate into society.
The ARC of Hope Spectrum Conference needs volunteers for many projects:
a. Help at the registration table handing out bags and checking off names.
b. During the morning and afternoon sessions, helping to hand out and collect surveys.
c. We would need to have helpers in the afternoon sessions handing out survey forms and also helping to monitor the session and get me or another board member should the speakers have any needs or sudden technology needs.
d. We will have a caterer, but would need a couple people to help watch the snack tables and help keep the cookies, popcorn and organic fruits filled.
