Election watch party commercial break

Nov 9, 2016 by Clayton Burton

Today, a lot of people went out and voted.
We voted in our FUOC meeting too.
Be on the lookout for a sick new club shirt coming your way soon!
We voted on dark gray with white ink. The design... you'll have to wait and see.

Looking for a weekend adventure? Strap on your head lamp and come explore a Saluda cave. This Saturday, arrive at the Rabbit Hole at 9:30am to head out on a caving expedition. Wear clothes that you can move in, eat breakfast a head of time, and bring those snacks. This trip will be incredible, but not for those claustrophobic or those scared of the dark. If you would like to join in the fun, email chris.sherman@furman.edu to RSVP. ALSO, let him know if you have your own head lamp.

For those who are scared of the dark, face your fear and let the Super Moon guide the way. Next week, on November 14, Sunrift Outdoors Store is hosting a Supermoon hike in Pleasant Ridge State Park.
Via Facebook: "Join us for a beautiful experience in the woods after dark at beautiful Pleasant Ridge Park! Bring a headlamp or flashlight. This is a family friendly hike (no strollers) that is approximately 1.25 miles. Call the store for details! (864)834-3019. Pre-registration is required."

If signing up for classes left you feeling blue due to a lack of CLPs, FUOC is here to help. Come listen to Jennifer Pharr Davis, the female record holder for fastest Appalachian Trail through hike, tell stories from the trail and talk about going that extra mile for exams. The event will take place on November 28th at 7:00pm most likely in Johns 101.

FUOC loves to chill in the outdoors, but it is getting chilly outside, so caving will be the last of our official weekend field trips of the year. However, isn't FUOC more than just field trips? You bet it is.
Which is why...
We are hosting...
On December 3rd...
THE Annual Rabbit Hole Ugly Sweater Chili Cook-off: Eggnogural Edition. In order to have a chili cook off, we need some chili. If you want an excuse to cook or have been told that your chili is the best around (or the worst) email me back with a team and chili name and we will put you on the competitor list. The top three teams will be reimbursed for any groceries used (receipt required) and the winner will get that sick shirt I talked about earlier.

Now, I would like to give a friendly reminder to turn in your gear.
Turn in your gear by December 1st and be fine.
Turn in your gear after December 1st and be FINED!

Come visit Chris Sherman at office hours this week. Same place, same time. (RH, 5:00-7:00)

"Duces." Chris Sherman
