Happy last Tuesday of October

Oct 26, 2016 by Clayton Burton

Hi there!

A big shoutout to the people who came to the LEAF Festival last weekend! It was a blast!

Yes... THAT fun.

Come to Trone from 4:00-6:00 to celebrate(hug) some trees this Friday at the Shi Center's Arbor Day event!

This weekend is THE Halloween zip lining trip at the Gorge. After the raffle last week, we have 2 spots left! That means that YOU could be zip lining through a canopy of beautiful autumn trees... in a costume(if you want)... this Saturday. If you have $30, will be available from 9:00am to about 5:00pm on Saturday, and want to have an incredible adventure, email Chris Sherman to snag one of the remaining spots. (chris.sherman@furman.edu)

The temperature is slowly dropping, but we still have fun trips on the horizon:
November 5th: Hike to watch the extreme whitewater race on the Narrows of the Green River
November 12th: Bradley Falls Caving Expedition

Come hang out with Andrew Clink this Thursday from 5-7 at office hours in the Rabbit Hole. He likes to sing songs and eat asparagus.

FUOCing yours,
Rachel Goding
FUOC Secretary

SHAMELESS PLUG: Come support Chris and myself, two of your FUOC officers, in HAVOC next week out in front of the library!! Bring some change to donate to our charities!!

"Consider a tree for a moment. As beautiful as trees are to look at, we don't see what goes on underground - as they grow roots. Trees must develop deep roots in order to grow strong and produce their beauty. But we don't see the roots. We just see and enjoy the beauty. In much the same way, what goes on inside of us is like the roots of a tree." Joyce Meyer
