Welcome to the Society of Women Engineers!

The Society of Women Engineers (SWE), founded in 1950, is a not-for-profit educational and service organization. SWE aims to establish engineering as a highly desirable career aspiration for women. By upholding the core values of integrity, inclusiveness, mutual support, professional excellence, and trust, the Society of Women Engineers hopes to expand the image of the engineering profession as a positive force in improving the quality of life.

Our mission as the Boise State University section of SWE is to encourage and support women in achieving their goals as engineers and leaders through volunteer and community outreach, the creation of a support structure on campus, providing resources to prepare for a career in the STEM fields, to teach skills that will benefit all members, to inspire future generations, and to have fun! Join us and learn what SWE has to offer! Men are welcome to join too!
