Welcome to Smart Woman Securities! Our mission is to educate the Fordham community on all aspects of the financial industry. We strive to empower members by giving them valuable skills for success in personal finance as well as success in a finance career.
When do we meet?
For the Spring 2018 semester, SWS meets on Wednesdays at 7:30 pm in Freeman 103 for weekly seminars in different aspects of business and finance. There are also several other programs offered by SWS, including the Equity Research Team, mentorship programs, and several community service initiatives.
What should you wear?
Because we are a club that focuses on personal and professional development, we request that you dress in business professional attire.
What should you bring?
Be ready to learn! Bring some paper and a pen, as well as an open mind and a positive attitude!

Smart Woman Securities (SWS) is a not-for-profit organization focused on investment education for undergraduate women. Through instructive seminars, mentoring initiatives, and meetings with successful investors such as Warren Buffett, SWS provides resources upon which women can build greater knowledge of the financial markets.
By giving young women direct investment experience while still in college, SWS aims to empower a new generation of women investors for the future. Learn more about SWS here. SWS is not only dedicated to educating its members; we aim to create a movement that brings financial responsibility into the hands of women everywhere.
As of Spring 2018, SWS operates 25 chapters at Boston College, Brown, Bowdoin, College, Carnegie Mellon, Columbia, Cornell, Dartmouth, Duke, Fordham, Georgetown, Gettysburg, Harvard, MIT, New York University, Notre Dame, Princeton, Stanford, Berkeley, University of Chicago, University of Pennsylvania, University of Southern California, University of Virginia, Wellesley College, William & Mary, and Yale.
