THE ORDER

You come to college with your values intact; you’ve learned from family and friends what’s right and wrong. While in college, KA helps you keep your compass straight, develop your values-set and experiences, and points you in a great direction for you future. Then, with our history and your experience, your journey in life seems a little clearer.

What does KA stand for? From being gentlemen, to aiming for excellence, our values are rooted in our ritual and initiation. The Order was founded in 1865. But so much more lead into the creation and shaping of our fraternity. Once a KA, always a KA. This is a familiar phrase to each member. Whether you are a member-awaiting-intiaition, active in school or an alumnus, the experience is rewarding, memorable, and unique.

New fraternity members all experience a period of orientation. During this time you and the other new members will participate in weekly meetings to learn about the university and fraternity, leadership retreats, community service projects, and activities designed to build friendships among new members and the older fraternity members.

All fraternities opposed hazing and are committed to a membership education period which instills a sense of responsibility and commitment in the new members. This period will assist you in overcoming some of your concerns about success in college.

During the new member education process, which lasts between six and eight weeks, you will not only learn about the history of the Order but also will be gradually given the responsibilities of fraternity membership so you will be fully prepared and ready to contribute to the chapter once you are initiated.

KA is a decision of a lifetime, for a lifetime. Come with us and be Forever KA!
