Sigma Lambda Gamma strives to be the premier organization committed to providing a mechanism of empowerment to all women.

We promote academic excellence and higher education for all women via a dedication and incorporation of the sorority principles – Academics, Community Service, Cultural Awareness, Morals & Ethics, and Social Interaction – in our lives.

Today, Sigma Lambda Gamma is the largest, historically Latina-based national sorority with a multicultural membership in chapters and alumnae associations throughout the United States.

Selection Process

If your organization has selective membership, please describe the selection process.

To become a member you must be at least a second semester freshmen, attend a minimum of 2 rush events (one of which must be an information session), and have at least a 2.75 GPA. Afterwards you will have an interview and then you may be invited to pledge. We encourage first semester freshmen to become familiar with college life first.


If dues will be accepted, how much will they be and how often will they be collected?

Dues for new members are $300. Dues for initiated members are $155 per semester.
