American Chemical Society
It is the founding philosophy of the American Chemical Society HBU Chapter that in the study of chemistry an analogy can be drawn between the reactions we perform in the lab and the reactions that take place when people come together for a common purpose. We separate and we bring together. Solve et coagula.
The purpose of the American Chemical Society is to stimulate an interest in chemistry; to assist its members and others in the study of chemistry; and finally, to alter the way people think about chemistry, the benefits it has provided mankind, the promises it makes for our future, and the burden of responsibility its researchers must bare. It is the enduring hope of the founding members that this society will bring together people of a common interest and foster relationships that will last beyond university life and throughout our careers.
