Organization Overview

Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc. was founded on Jan. 16, 1920 on the campus of Howard University. This sorority was established to promote the ideals of scholarship, service, sisterhood and finer womanhood. The sorority was organized with the specific intent of providing a sisterhood dedicated to serving mankind and empowering women to fulfill their greatest potential. One of the Divine Nine, Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc. was the first sorority to establish a centrally located headquarters, form national youth programs, and to establish chapters internationally. Members of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc. were instrumental in the creation of the sorority and are the constitutionally bound brothers of the sorority.
