X-Change Weekly Service Program Site Application
X-Change Provides an action-oriented entry point for volunteers to engage in the Cincinnati community through weekly service and reflection; to encourage students to think critically and advocate for social justice as men and women for and with others. X-Change works in partnership with community organizations to arrange for students to serve weekly at the same site throughout the semester.
Completing this application form is the first step toward formal partnership with the XU Dorothy Day Center for Faith and Justice if your organization would like to become an X-Change weekly service program community partner Site. ALL Site applications will be reviewed and voted on by a board of XU student leaders and CFJ staff.
Note: In order to partner with the CFJ as a weekly service community partner Site, you will need to provide the following:
- On-going regular volunteer opportunities for students to participate in 1 service day each week, at the same time and day throughout the entirety of the XU Fall and Spring semesters.
- Site orientation which provides an overview of the organizations mission, programs, volunteer tasks, and primary population served (This can be done with each small service group or a large group orientation may be arranged).
- Provide staff oversight of volunteers with at least one paid Staff member to act as the Site Representative. (This person should confirm student volunteer attendance, sign attendance record forms, and troubleshoot on-site issues that may arise.)
