On behalf of the chapters that comprise The University of Akron's Interfraternity Council, we welcome you.
Fraternity and Sorority Life is a long-standing tradition at the University of Akron, getting its start in 1873. Our IFC Fraternity community is currently made up of thirteen chapters with over 400 men dedicated to the purpose of maintaining our high standard of Fraternity Life by perpetuating the Greek Experience at UA.
Our community stands on the four pillars of scholarship, leadership, civic responsibility and community. We challenge our members to excel in these values in their daily living. Our community consistently rises to the occasion, working relentlessly to maintain a high standard of academic excellence, a commitment to serving the greater Akron community, the development of leadership among our members and a robust feeling of interfraternal brotherhood. The University of Akron's Fraternity Life serves as the perfect compliment to the Akron Experience, and we hope that you too will dedicate yourself to such causes.
The University of Akron's Interfraternity Council is dedicated to creating a welcoming, safe, and engaging experience. Whether you are a prospective fraternity member, a current fraternity member, or a parent, I hope that our page is able to provide you with all the information necessary to answer any questions you may have. If not, please reach out to me with any questions or concerns.
