2014 Advisor of the Year
Oct 2, 2014 by Marcus Kidd
The Office of Student Activities and Services (OSAS) is sponsoring an award to recognize advisors for their work with OSAS registered organizations. The Advisor of the Year Award is designed to honor an individual who has made a commitment to a student organization and its goals by challenging, motivating and supporting students in the group. An advisor takes on this role in addition to his or her job responsibilities to the University. We would like to distinguish these individuals who not only dedicate themselves to an organization and its students, but who go above and beyond their basic responsibilities to the organization. This award will be given to the advisor that has demonstrated these abilities during the 2013-2014 academic year.
To nominate your organization’s advisor for the Advisor of the Year Award, please complete the form by using this link: https://orgsync.com/36016/forms/120236. This form will automatically close on Monday, October 16, 2014 at 5:00 PM. The Advisor of the Year Award committee will review the applications and select one recipient.
The Advisor of the Year Award will be recognized during Blue Key’s Leadership Appreciation Reception that will be held at the end of October. More information about this event will be sent out at a later time. The Advisor of the Year will be announced in a University press release, receive a plaque to be displayed in the K-State Student Union, receive a plaque that they can keep, and be presented with a letter of congratulations from the Student Body President Reagan Kays.
